The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to keep fans on their toes with new reveals about its future. Now, the latest buzz surrounds Charlie Cox’s potential involvement in ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘.
However, the ‘Daredevil’ star has now addressed the rumors head-on, putting speculation to rest. Meanwhile, fans have been treated to a fresh look at ‘Daredevil: Born Again’.
Charlie Cox On Preparing For ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, Not ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

The Marvel fandom went into a frenzy when a gym posted a picture of Charlie Cox, claiming he was training for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Given the MCU’s secrecy, the post seemed like an unexpected confirmation that Daredevil would have a role in the highly anticipated film.

However, Cox has now clarified the situation in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I was there for Christmas with my family,” Cox explained. “And on the last day, they asked if they could take a picture with me, which we did. I had said to them, ‘I’m getting ready to play Daredevil,’ ’cause I am! I’m getting ready to play Daredevil in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again.“
He went on to explain how he believed the gym owners simply misunderstood his words. “Sometimes people who aren’t really in the entertainment world, they don’t understand the terminology or whatever,” Cox continued. “But for some reason, they posted that and put, ‘getting ready for his role in the Avengers,’ which is not true.”
The post spread like wildfire, with fans and scoopers alike treating it as a leak. Cox recalled how he had to quickly reassure Marvel Studios that he hadn’t spilled any secret information. While Cox insists he is only preparing for ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ season 2, it remains to be seen whether Marvel has other plans for him.
