Charlie Cox Is Excited About White Tiger’s Debut In ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, Promises Fans “A Really Cool Storyline”

Fans have been eagerly awaiting news about Daredevil: Born Again since it was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con. The upcoming Disney+ series will see Charlie Cox reprise his role as Matt Murdock after his character’s cameo appearances in hit MCU shows like ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law‘. At a recent fan convention, Cox shared his excitement about an upcoming new character.

During a panel at FanExpo Chicago, Cox was asked about any comic storylines fans should check out before the new series. While staying tight-lipped about specific plot details, Cox did reveal his enthusiasm for one character fans may have spotted in leaked footage from Disney’s D23 Expo, White Tiger.

Charlie Cox gave his take on the direction ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ will take. “I remember getting those scripts, and the character that I’m thinking about in particular right now, I remember when I read that [story] before I started doing Daredevil in 2014. I always thought that was a really cool storyline and such an interesting character; such an interesting dynamic between the two of them,” Cox teased Daredevil and White Tiger’s relationship.

One of the main themes ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ is expected to explore is the differing philosophies of vigilantism in New York City. With The Punisher also returning, there are likely to be clashes between Matt Murdock and Frank Castle’s opposing methods. White Tiger’s arrival could add another layer to that storyline. As a hero who also takes the law into her own hands, she may find herself debating Murphy on the best ways to fight crime.

While details of White Tiger’s MCU origin story are still under wraps, she will likely be introduced as the latest mantle holder of the White Tiger persona. In the comics, Hector Ayala was the first Puerto Rican superhero and passed the White Tiger powers and identity to his niece Ava Ayala.

The Disney+ series presents the perfect opportunity to bring a new legacy character into the franchise. Cox expressed that he was excited to read the character’s introduction and hints she will play an important role in the series going forward. More of White Tiger is sure to be revealed when ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ premieres on Disney+ in 2025.
