Charlie Cox, the man behind the iconic mask of Matt Murdock, opened up about reprising his role in ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘. He talked about his first reaction being initial disbelief after hearing the news.

“It’s Pretty Surreal”: Charlie Cox On Reprising His Role In ‘Daredevil: Born Again’
Charlie thought that after the show ‘Daredevil,’ ended the role was done. “I was convinced it was over,” Cox admitted with a laugh. Furthermore, the actor said that his long-time friend and co-worker, Vincent D’Onofrio, was the one encouraging him to believe that there would be a ‘Daredevil’ revival.
“Vincent would call me and say, ‘No, no, trust me, they are gonna bring it back,’ and I would think, ‘Poor guy is delusional, it’s never gonna happen,'” he shared. The actor’s disbelief turned into pure exhilaration when the news of his return was confirmed. “It’s pretty surreal,” Cox expressed. Moreover, after years of uncertainty, the prospect of donning the Daredevil suit once again was a dream come true.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is a highly anticipated Marvel series bringing back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. The original show’s fans were as excited as Cox to hear about another series featuring the beloved Matt. The reboot being set in the MCU makes it a lot more exciting.
Marvel is known to be very secretive about its projects. So, the plot details are still not revealed. Additionally, the show is expected to explore Matt’s life after the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’
The series will also include the re-appearance of Vincent D’Onofrio playing the role of Wilson Fisk / Kingpin and Jon Bernthal as Punisher. It has an 18-episode format which is encouraging for fans who feared that the series would be rushed. Also, the show has plans to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025.
