One of the most exciting returns in ‘Deadpool And Wolverine‘ was Dafne Keen’s X-23. First introduced in ‘Logan‘, Keen’s portrayal of the fierce, clawed mutant made her an instant fan favorite.
Now, with the multiverse in full swing, there’s increasing speculation about where X-23 could appear next in the MCU. Additionally, Keen herself has thoughts on the matter and they are very exciting.
Dafne Keen Shares Her X-23 Ideas For Solo Character-Driven Roles In The MCU
Speaking at the Saturn Awards (via the Direct), Dafne Keen made it clear that she’s more than willing to return as X-23 under one condition: she wants to reunite with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. “Well, can we both (Laura and Logan) be there? Yeah? OK, good. If we’re both there, I’d be really happy,” she said.
While the future of Wolverine in the MCU remains uncertain, Keen is optimistic about Laura’s place in the expanding universe. Not only does she want to see X-23 battle alongside the Avengers in a massive crossover event, but she also hopes to explore character-driven stories that highlight Laura’s depth beyond her fighting skills.
“I would like to see her in a fun team-up, I would also love to see Laura in smaller stories as well. I enjoyed playing her in Logan, which was much more gritty,” she shared. Moreover, rumors suggest that Keen will appear in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. However, no official confirmation has been made.
Dafne Keen Wants To Interact With The ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Superheroes
The X-23 actress has also expressed interest in an X-23 crossover with characters from ‘Captain America: Brave New World’. While speaking with ScreenRant, she was asked which Marvel characters she would like to see X-23 interact with. “I’m really excited to watch the new Captain America movie, so hopefully someone in that movie,” she stated.

Additionally, the connection between ‘Brave New World’ and X-23 isn’t far-fetched. The film is set to introduce adamantium (the indestructible metal that makes up both Wolverine and X-23’s claws) into the MCU. With adamantium becoming a major plot point, it’s easy to see how Laura could fit into the storyline.
Keen was also asked if she would be open to a team-up with Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk, to which she playfully responded, “Okay, you said it, not me!” While she did not let a lot go, her response has only fueled speculation that X-23 could be involved in the MCU.
