Daniel Radcliffe has faced dark wizards, played a corpse with surprising heart, and taken on eccentric villains, but there’s one red-and-blue suit he admits would feel like home.
And it’s none other than the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Yes, he has had MCU dreams for a long time, and addressed them with his signature wit.
Daniel Radcliffe Admits Spider-Man Is His Superhero Soft Spot

While promoting ‘The Lost City’ at SXSW, Daniel Radcliffe shared that he believes he’d be a “natural fit” for Spider-Man. Yet, he quickly tempered the thought with humility, acknowledging that the role has already been done well by others.
“The one I would be a natural fit for has now been done by three very good actors,” he said, referencing the legacy of the web-slinger on the big screen.

Although he did not mention the Marvel hero directly, Radcliffe was obviously referring to Spider-Man, a character that has been played by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and most recently by Tom Holland. Radcliffe was all praise for Holland, who he described as incredible, and stated that he could never be replaced. “No one could ever replace him, so I’ll let that one go.”
It was not resignation but respect, the respect from one franchise veteran to another. After all, Radcliffe knows something about stepping into an iconic role and carrying it for a generation. The former ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone’ star has long been a fan of Spider-Man, and many years ago, he even went as far as to dress up as the superhero and walk around San Diego Comic-Con disguised as a fan.
Radcliffe Is Not Rushing His MCU Dream

Nowadays, Radcliffe is not pursuing capes or movie worlds. These days, Radcliffe isn’t chasing capes or cinematic universes.
Speaking about superhero films more broadly, he said he’s “not rushing to” join one unless the project feels “cool and weird and different”. That tracks. Since he left Hogwarts, Radcliffe has established a career that is characterized by unpredictability.

Naturally, in a multiverse where Spider-People appear to be breeding like flies, it is not inconceivable that one day Radcliffe will be swinging around New York. There are endless variations of the Spider-Verse. However, in the meantime, he appears to be happy cheering in the crowd.
