With showrunner Dario Scardapane behind the show’s second season, it promises to push boundaries. Season 2 is set to begin production on February 28 and will consist of eight episodes. Though plot details remain tightly under wraps, Cox and D’Onofrio’s recent comments suggest that fans are in for a season unlike any other.

Charlie Cox let it all out and shared excitement for Season 2. In a conversation with Collider, he expressed just how impressed he was with the scripts he’s read so far. “I’ve read six of eight, and honestly, and I don’t normally say this kind of thing; I always err on the side of caution, that’s some of my favorite stuff I’ve read of Daredevil,” Cox revealed.

What Scardapane has done so far with this new season is so cool and so different and so sinister, and I’m really, really excited about it,” he added. The word sinister carries weight coming from the actor who has embodied Matt Murdock across multiple seasons. It suggests that ‘Born Again’ won’t disappoint fans seeking its violent nature.

I’ve read the same amount as Charlie, six, and I love where it’s going,” he said. “By the end of Season 2, there’s something quite amazing I feel is going to happen. We’ve both talked to Dario about the other half of it, but we’re not completely clear on it. But I do have an idea of some of the details of what’s going to happen.”

One of the defining aspects of Daredevil has always been its breathtaking fight choreography, with each season delivering unforgettable sequences. So, fans will be thrilled to know that Season 2 is doubling down on them. Cox has previously promised that ‘Born Again’ will feature one-shot fight scenes.

D’Onofrio reinforced this idea. “We have a lot of work ahead of us. It’s going to be emotional and full of physical altercations. I don’t know what to say, but it’s going to be a crazy season,” he stated. With ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ set to premiere with two episodes on March 4, the excitement is palpable.
