Future MCU Projects Between ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars’ Reportedly Will Follow Battleworld Arc

The ultimate payoff for the Multiverse Saga, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars‘, is still years away from releasing in 2027, but the MCU is already laying crucial groundwork for the epic. Based on recent rumours and reported plans, it appears that many of the major films coming out between ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ in 2026 and Secret Wars will utilise the plot device of Battleworld.

Battleworld was the mix and culmination planet constructed by Doctor Doom after he stole the power of cosmic entities known as the Beyonders. By piecing together destroyed universes following an incursion event, Doom recreated a strange new world ruled under his control. Films are getting ready to enter production in the next couple of years and are said to transplant key MCU characters and franchises to various domains that made up Battleworld.

According to sources, 2025’s ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ will spend a large portion of its runtime within the Domain of Doomstadt on Battleworld. This kingdom ruled directly by Doom would be the setting for Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm to get their origins.

Leaks suggest their battle with Mole Man will spill out from the Negative Zone beneath Doomstadt. How the team’s formation kicks off larger events on Battleworld remains to be seen.

However, the introduction of Fantastic Four and especially Reed Richards could pave the way for Battleword to be brought onto the big screen as early as next year as he is a major character in Secret Wars.

Rumours that Mahershala Ali’s long-awaited first Blade movie will take place within the magical Domain of Weirdworld. Home to strange monsters and mystical beings, Weirdworld would be the perfect hunting ground for the daywalker Blade to track down vampires.

Early plot details point to Blade following a particularly dangerous vampire coven into the bizarre region. His actions could disrupt the fragile balance of power in Weirdworld and spill over into surrounding domains.

The pattern seems to be the major films from 2026 to 2027 will feature key characters interacting within Battleworld’s different parts. Whether exploring new domains like Hyperion’s Utopolis or having heroes cross between places like Doom’s Valley, each movie could further peel back layers of this new cataclysmic reality. \

Their stories would undoubtedly weave together and add escalating stakes hyping up the massive ‘Avengers: Secret Wars‘. By planting seeds across Battleworld before the planet crumbles, Marvel is carefully crafting their most elaborate storyline yet.
