As the Marvel Cinematic Universe prepares for the release of ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘, fans are buzzing about the debut of Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder. Known for his immaculate performance in ‘Breaking Bad’, Esposito brings his signature intensity to this reimagined Marvel character.
While Sidewinder may be an obscure name to some, Esposito’s portrayal promises to elevate the character’s presence in the MCU. Moreover, the actor recently spoke about his future in the MCU.
Giancarlo Esposito Wants To Dive Deeper Into Sidewinder’s Serpent Persona
In an interview with ABC, Giancarlo Esposito hinted at the potential trajectory of Sidewinder, teasing future projects and a deeper dive into the character’s serpentine persona. Additionally, his entrance into the MCU as Sidewinder was enough to excite fans.

While the character’s comic book origins place him as a member of the Serpent Society, Marvel Studios is giving Sidewinder a modern twist. Esposito revealed that he worked closely with costume designers to incorporate the character’s signature colors, hoping to inspire future adaptations.
“I’m hoping that it gives them inspiration in movies to come that will allow me to take on more of that serpent persona,” Esposito teased. “You’ve never seen me play a character like this. This guy knows how to use a rifle, a pistol, knives, [he is] very, very physical.”
Red Hulk Rumored To Have A Surprisingly Small Role In ‘Captain America: Brave New World’
While Giancarlo Esposito’s Sidewinder is set to steal the spotlight, ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘ also introduces another major player: Red Hulk. However, fans expecting a substantial showdown may be in for a surprise, or disappointment.

Trailers have teased President “Thunderbolt” Ross’s transformation into the monstrous Red Hulk. However, according to insider Cryptic4KQual, Red Hulk’s screentime is shockingly brief, clocking in at around four minutes. “How Marvel feels after showing 1 second of Red Hulk every 2 or 3 weeks because he’s barely in the film.”
If true, this aligns with earlier test screening leaks and raises questions about the balance between building anticipation and delivering a payoff. Adding to the controversy is the film’s runtime. At just 1 hour and 58 minutes, ‘Brave New World’ is the shortest Captain America movie yet. While a streamlined narrative can work wonders, fans worry it may come at the expense of character development.
