Jeremy Renner in a show of not just on-screen heroism but also his actual off-screen valor was hospitalized due to his near-death experience on New Year’s in 2023. He sustained nearly 30 broken bones in an attempt to save his nephew from a toppling Pistenbully. According to the County sheriff’s report, Renner was towing his nephew’s stuck truck out of the driveway with a snow plow. The snow plow after towing, began sliding sideways due to unprecedented reasons. It then began rolling down the hill taking the ‘Hawkeye’ actor still in the vehicle. Renner managed to get out of the Pistenbully as time passed.

However, after realizing the vehicle was headed towards his nephew, the actor was fear-struck and didn’t wait one moment in immediately attempting to reclimb into the vehicle so he could possibly maneuver the vehicle out of his nephew’s way. He had to get onto the tracks to do that, however he was pulled under the left side track and was crushed by the Pistenbully. He managed to save his nephew at the cost of himself in a show of gallantry and altruism, a real-life hero indeed.
