Marvel fans are becoming impatient, and, frankly speaking, they are not to blame. As ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ swings into theaters this July, the lack of an official trailer has caused the internet to be full of speculation, impatience, and no small amount of leaked footage talk.
Now, director Destin Daniel Cretton has finally addressed the question everyone keeps asking: Where is the trailer?
Destin Daniel Cretton Teases Imminent ‘Brand New Day’ Footage

Cretton acknowledged the rising expectations in a light-hearted manner during a recent interview with Big Gold Belt. He acknowledged that itis amusing how much fans desire to see footage from the film. Additionally, he also assured viewers that the trailer will be released, and when it is, it will be worth the wait. That patience is being tested.

“I think it’s so funny how people really want a trailer. Of course it’s gonna come. It’s gonna be really good when it comes. It’s coming.” In December 2025, snippets were allegedly leaked online around the same time as teasers to ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ were attached to ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ screenings. Speculation has since only increased.
A lot of people were hoping to see a Super Bowl debut, yet the big game passed without any MCU unveiling. The silence is intentional with the July 31 release date approaching. Marvel Studios and Sony seem to be timing their marketing campaign very well. They might not want to overshadow other Phase 6 projects or just want to get the most out of it nearer to summer.
There Are A Lot Of Big Questions Still Hanging In The Air

The secrecy only fuels curiosity. ‘Brand New Day’ marks Tom Holland’s long-awaited return as Peter Parker following the emotional reset of ‘No Way Home’.
However, key details are still confidential. Who is the true villain? What role do Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk play in the story? And, perhaps, most interestingly, who is Sadie Sink portraying?

And there is the live-action debut of Tombstone, played by Marvin Jones III, who previously voiced the role in ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’.
The mere crossover detail has fans theorizing about tonal variations and connective tissue in the growing MCU. At this point, the delayed trailer feels less like an oversight and more like a calculated tease.
