As the final chapters of the Multiverse Saga approach, it’s likely that multiple teams emerge will, including the New Avengers (potentially the Thunderbolts in disguise) and the Young Avengers, ready to battle the formidable Doctor Doom. Now, Marvel insider MyTimeToShine has added fuel to the fire by saying, “There is a plan for the West Coast Avengers in the MCU.”

Moreover, speculation about this West Coast-based team has been circulating for years. However, the rumors especially increased after T’Challa set up a Californian outpost in 2018’s ‘Black Panther’. Some theories suggest that the MCU will feature multiple Avengers teams after ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ concludes.

The West Coast Avengers first appeared in 1984. Hawkeye spearheaded the team at the original Avengers’ request, expanding their reach to protect the West Coast. The initial lineup included Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Iron Man, Wonder Man, and Tigra.

Over time, iconic heroes like Scarlet Witch, Vision, Moon Knight, and even the original Human Torch joined their ranks. This team faced their own set of unique villains, such as Ultron, Graviton, and the Masters of Evil. Now, rumors hint that the upcoming Vision-centric TV series could be the key to introducing the West Coast Avengers.

Though details about the upcoming ‘Wonder Man’ series remain sparse, Marvel’s Head of Streaming and Television, Brad Winderbaum, provided some intriguing hints on the Phase Hero podcast. “It’s a two-hander between two amazing characters,” he said, referring to the show.

If you’re a fan of West Coast Avengers and know a little bit about Simon Williams, you’re going to be… I mean, I hope, very excited to see how much homage to the source material there is,” he added. Winderbaum further described the show as a “love letter to Hollywood,” which aligns with Wonder Man’s identity as an actor and superhero.

The series’ playful tone and deep ties to Hollywood could perfectly set up a West Coast Avengers storyline. Additionally, this is very much possible due to the recent reports linking ‘Wonder Man’, ‘Armor Wars’, and ‘Vision’ to a broader team formation. So, fans can look forward to the potential debut of this team.
