Marvel TV Head Brad Winderbaum Compares ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ To ‘Game Of Thrones’

The highly anticipated return of Daredevil in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is set to be as dark and gritty as the acclaimed Netflix series if not more. Marvel Studios’ Head TV Brad Winderbaum, recently compared the upcoming Disney+ show to the notoriously brutal ‘Game of Thrones.

Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ was praised for its gritty tone, complex characters, and brutal violence. While the MCU has gradually introduced darker elements into its storytelling, the show pushed boundaries. So, fans can expect no less from ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘.

Imagine if New York City was as intricate and problematic and scary as the world of Game of Thrones,” Brad teased while talking to ABC. ‘Game of Thrones‘ is known for its violence, brutality, and cunning characters. So, fans can expect ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ to be no less.

“All these forces vying for control, and it can be really hopeful at times, and really violent at times, and dark – but also there’s light at the end of the tunnel if you could just fight for it,” Brad added. While the show is technically a continuation of the Netflix series, it’s not a complete reboot.

The show will pick up where the Netflix series left off, exploring the aftermath of Kingpin’s defeat. It will also explore the challenges that Daredevil faces in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred. All in all, it will be part of a larger interconnected universe.
