Marvel fans have been anticipating what Marvel Studios will do with Daredevil for years. After getting brief appearances in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and ‘She-Hulk‘, fans were excited to see what else Marvel has in store for the character.
Proving most theories right, the new show surrounding the character has now been revealed to be a continuation of the old Netflix show. But here’s what the original plan was, as Charlie Cox has revealed.
The Original Plan For ‘Daredevil: Born Again’
Talking to Empire about the new show and everything it would bring to the table, Charlie Cox talked about how the original plan to continue with the show was completely different.
The actor said, “There was talk early on about reinventing the whole thing to see if Matt was a slightly different person. But it ended up more of a continuation. A lot of the history follows on. The relationships and dynamics set up in the previous seasons still exist.”

Talking about what fans can expect from the show, he added, “A few years have passed. In that time, Matt, Foggy, and Karen have found a pretty good rhythm. Matt’s made peace with his role both as a lawyer and a vigilante. Then, of course, sh*t hits the fan.”
All You Need To Know About ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘
The current Darevil series was reportedly being reinvented as an 18-episode legal procedural without Foggy and Karen, and with Matt Murdock who spent more time as a lawyer and less time as Daredevil, according to reports that were released shortly after Born Again was announced. According to more reports, Kevin Feige jumped in, sacked the directors and writers, and completely revamped the Disney Plus series.
The first season of ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ will consist of nine episodes and release on March 4, 2025. The remaining nine episodes will be kept for a second season.
