Marvel isn’t holding back any longer with their newest show, ‘Marvel Zombies‘. The premise of the show was teased in the first season of ‘What If,’ and since then, it has gained a massive fan following. The prospect of Earth’s mightiest heroes reduced to mindless hunters in search of humans to eat has appealed significantly to the audience.
Let’s look through the eyes of a survivor in this desolate world of ‘Marvel Zombies‘. Here are some of the most dangerous zombies to look out for.
10. Captain America
When the shield that represents hope becomes a symbol of mindless hunger and power, who do you look up to? As a super-soldier, his strength, speed, and strategic mind are retained, making him a terrifyingly effective zombie leader. Steve Rogers is the true fall from grace of the Avengers. His shield is an effective weapon that he uses to ricochet from a distance in order to infect more people.

9. Ant-Man
A mosquito bite? No, you just got turned. The deadliest and worst part about Ant-Man is simply the fact that he can turn small. As shown in ‘What If,’ Hank Pym was the one who turned the Avengers into zombies by biting them. You would never see him coming, and nor can you escape his super-small presence. He can sneak up from anywhere and make you join their side.
8. Wolverine
How do you kill something that can heal from virtually anything? Wolverine is a terrifying nemesis as a zombie. With his adamantium claws and his ability to regenerate near instantly, Logan can take on heroes and common folks alike, turning them all into mindless animals. He is a relentless force of nature spreading the infection worldwide.
7. Ikaris
The series has confirmed that the Eternals are involved in this, too. A zombified Ikaris, with near-immortality, superhuman strength, flight, and the ability to project cosmic energy beams from his eyes, is a literal zombie turning machine on steroids. He is a top-tier threat that can’t be put down by conventional means and is capable of leveling entire cities in his search for food.

6. Doctor Strange
A multiversal nightmare and evil creature possessing magic, Doctor Strange is a terrifying adversary to face in the form of a zombie. Imagine Doctor Strange mindlessly opening portals as God knows what eldritch horrors fall upon Earth. His spells can easily ensnare the victims, not to mention his cloak, which can independently attack and trap the survivors.
5. Quicksilver
His speed is the ultimate vector for spreading the Zombie Plague. A zombified Quicksilver could spread the hunger plague across an entire continent in a matter of hours. You can hide, but you can’t run from him. Even before the survivors assemble and try to put up a resistance, this one-man extinction would zombify them in a matter of blurs, bites, and scratches.
4. The Hulk
Dr. Bruce Banner’s curse is also his ultimate weapon in the apocalypse. A zombified Hulk combines limitless strength with the insatiable, all-consuming hunger of the plague. In the comics, his hunger doesn’t die down even after consuming entire worlds. To make matters worse, as a zombie, his rage would never die down, making him a green monster forever.
3. Thanos
Even without the Infinity Gauntlet, the Mad Titan can go toe to toe with the Hulk. He is a brilliant strategist, possesses immense strength, and has the durability that rivals Thor. Thanos can lead the hordes with tactical precision. And if he ever gets his hands on an infinity stone, he will become a cosmic-level threat. Imagine his twisted fantasy of creating a balance by ‘eating’ half of the universe.
2. Captain Marvel
A true cosmic canon of death and plague, Captain Marvel will bring the virus to the entire universe with her. Her ability to fly at faster-than-light speeds means she could spread the zombie plague from planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy. Her energy blasts have enough power to vaporise armies, and her invulnerable body makes it impossible to injure and contain her.

1. Scarlet Witch
As we saw in What If…?, a zombified Wanda Maximoff is the ultimate apocalypse. No wonder Vision was terrified of her. He made a grave mistake keeping her alive, and her reality-warping powers, fueled by chaos magic and amplified by grief and hunger, make her a god-tier threat. Scarlet Witch can telekinetically rip apart the heroes before they get a chance to think. A zombie like Wanda can rewrite reality itself to make her next meal.
