For years, Venom’s presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a question dangling just out of reach, visible, teased, but never fully grasped. The alien symbiote left behind a fragment in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, and endless discussions have arisen regarding how Marvel Studios can utilize it.
Will it connect with Peter Parker? Will Eddie Brock make a comeback? Or will MCU take an entirely different course? Unexpectedly, the answer may lie not in the familiar image of black webs and toothy snarls, but in one of the wildest evolutions the symbiote has ever taken in Marvel Comics. It’s a form so savage and mythological that it might completely transform the way film viewers perceive Venom altogether.
The MCU’s First Venom Might Look Nothing Like Eddie Brock

Ask any Marvel fan what Venom looks like, and you will have a typical list of characteristics: white eyes, monstrous grin with a long tongue, clawed hands, and a hulking black body. That’s the Venom that animation, video games, and multiple movies have reinforced for decades. The comics have always made the symbiote far more adaptable. However, he is a creature that can alter its form, shape, armor, weapons, and even color at the whim of its host.

And no place is that unlimited potential more evident than in the ‘War of the Realms’ plot. The Marvel universe is thrown into mythical chaos in that arc as the dark Asgardian forces attack the Earth. Eddie Brock, stripped of much of what defines him, is offered a mystical stone that manifests his deepest desires. And his greatest desire is Power, enough to defend his loved ones.
What we have is not Venom that we know, but a new incarnation. He is tall, bearded, primitive, and armed with weapons that move and change shape like living metal. It’s a Venom that can solidify axes, swords, shields, or any weapon it conceives in combat. Imagine Venom, who was born of the same fires that made Mjolnir. He is among the most mind-blowing changes in comic history. And it’s not Eddie Brock.
Marvel Already Has The Perfect Candidate For New Venom

At this point, the future of Venom with Tom Hardy is unclear. ‘Venom: The Last Dance‘ was a goodbye. The negotiations between Sony and Marvel are still unpredictable. And with the MCU picking up only a mindless remnant of the symbiote, Eddie Brock’s story is not guaranteed to continue within Marvel Studios’ continuity. However, should the MCU desire a Viking Venom, an Asgardian warrior who is allied with an alien parasite, there is one obvious host in the middle of the franchise: Thor himself.

Thor is already a warrior who was created by myth, magic, and cosmic energy. He’s worn enchanted armor. He has fought monstrous beings. And he has travelled across the universe, smashed worlds, wielded Stormbreaker, and even survived a collapsing star. So, Thor, wearing a black living armor that shakes and moves like a cosmic shadow, is a perfect fit. And Marvel would not even have to bend the rules or rewrite canon to do so. The comics already preconditioned it.
