Ever since Kang’s appearance in ‘Antman and the Wasp: Quatumania’, fans have been hoping for Marvel‘s next big baddie after Thanos to return. With titles like ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty‘, the fans, and the studio were sure of Jonathan Majors’ return as Kang.
Unfortunately, Majors found himself in a bad legal case, resulting in Marvel letting the actor go. Since then the franchise has been planning to deviate from the Kang storyline, and instead introduce Doctor Doom. However, MCU theory revealed a perfect replacement for Kang in the multiversal storyline.
Ultron Might Potentially Replace Kang In ‘Avengers 6’
Ultron, an AI construct first appeared in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, threatening to take over mankind. Although defeated by the Avengers, fans are speculating about his return in the upcoming Avengers project. One of the fans pointed out that Ultron might be hiding in Shuri’s AI in Wakanda after she downloaded Vision in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. However, Ultron might make the perfect successor to Kang as portrayed in ‘What if..?’
However, if Marvel wants to bring back Ultron, now would be the right back to revive the supervillain, as Marvel has moved into the multiverse storyline. With advanced technology and AI, it would make sense if the Avengers combat with AI, which poses an actual threat to mankind.

‘Avengers 5’ Is Getting A New Title
Ever since Jonathan Majors’ was removed from MCU, there are reports that the title of ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty’ will change as well. Recently, THR also reported that Marvel will release a new title of ‘Avengers 5‘, hinting at a shift from the Kang storyline. However, Marvel and Disney have yet to make the official change.
There are official rumors that even if Marvel goes ahead with the Kang storyline, the franchise has a potential actor up their sleeves and the fans also agree on the authenticity of the actor to the role. Colman Domingo replied vaguely when asked if the rumor of him playing Kang was true or false. But because of the abysmal failure of ‘Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania’, there is a high probability that Marvel Studios wants to steer away from the Kang storyline.
