During a recent interview, Anthony and Joe Russo stated that bringing Doctor Doom into the frame brings a new level of complexity and difficulty. “We also run into the complexity and the difficulty of what these movies can do at a narrative level. I think we’ve found a new level of that in Doomsday,” said the Russo Brothers.
They also elaborated on how Doctor Doom demands a particular tone, as seen in the film. As the introduction of Doctor Doom makes ‘Doomsday‘ and the MCU a bit more thrilling, the Russo Brothers also talked about how crucial Chris Evans‘ Captain America remains for the film.
MCU Can’t Push The Narrative Forward Without Captain America

As Chris Evans returns as Steve Rogers in ‘Doomsday‘, the character holds a special place in everyone’s hearts, and the same goes for the filmmaking duo. They stated that there might be no narrative without Captain America.
