Sadie Sink Spotted Injured On ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Set

The web of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding once again as ‘Stranger Things’ breakout Sadie Sink has officially joined the MCU in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. While her role remains tightly under wraps, a newly leaked video has sparked a wave of speculation about her character.

The fourth Tom Holland-led Spider-Man movie is one of the most anticipated films of 2026, set to continue Peter Parker’s story after the world forgot his identity in ‘No Way Home’. Now, the newest footage might’ve just offered our first clue about Sadie Sink’s mysterious character.

A new behind-the-scenes video shared by CosmicMMedia shows Sadie Sink’s character being wheeled on a gurney into a black vehicle and not by hospital personnel. Instead, she’s surrounded by unidentified figures dressed in dark clothing, suggesting something far more sinister than a typical emergency rescue. The brief but dramatic footage immediately set social media ablaze. Now, fans are theorizing about who could be behind the abduction and what it might mean for her character.

Is she an ally caught in the crossfire, a villain’s victim, or even a hero in hiding? What makes the scene even more intriguing is that none of the other main cast members, including Tom Holland, were spotted nearby during the filming. This has led to speculation that the sequence might not take place in the film’s main timeline. It might be a flashback, dream, or even an alternate-universe subplot.

Sadie Sink is among the most in-demand young talents in Hollywood right now. So, her MCU debut has been a major talking point since the project was announced. But who exactly is she playing? Rumors have run rampant. Some believe she could be portraying Rachel Cole-Alves, a skilled vigilante who teams up with The Punisher.

Others think she might be playing a young Jean Grey. There’s even a possibility that she’s an entirely new original character created for ‘Brand New Day’, given the film’s fresh take on Peter Parker’s life after the events of ‘No Way Home’. What’s clear, however, is that Sink’s role is significant and possibly tragic.

With ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘ swinging into theaters on July 31, 2026, fans are already itching for a first look at Tom Holland’s return as everyone’s favorite web-slinger. After all, it’s been nearly five years since ‘No Way Home’ left audiences in tears and awe. So, when can fans expect the first official trailer?

Historically, Sony and Marvel Studios have played things very strategically when it comes to Spider-Man promotions. For example, ‘No Way Home’s first trailer famously arrived just four months before release, after months of secrecy and leaks. However, this time around, things might be different. Unlike the hush-hush campaign surrounding ‘No Way Home’, ‘Brand New Day’ hasn’t been treated as quite the same level of mystery. Tom Holland has already shared multiple behind-the-scenes glimpses from the set.

Given that filming is well underway, it’s likely that the first trailer could drop between January and March 2026. This will be roughly six to seven months before release. Fans can expect the trailer to reveal more about Sadie Sink’s character, a few teases of returning heroes, and possibly the main villain. Given that ‘Brand New Day’ directly sets the stage for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, Marvel and Sony will want to establish the emotional tone and stakes early.
