Sentry Actor Lewis Pullman Teases Major Character Moments In ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Despite Film’s Huge Cast

In Short
  • Lewis Pullman assures fans that every character in 'Avengers: Doomsday' will have substantial screen time.
  • The film will feature exciting collaborations between characters from different Marvel universes.
  • Production is ongoing, with reshoots planned before moving on to 'Avengers: Secret Wars'.

As over two dozen superheroes are set to feature in ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘, fans are naturally questioning whether the next big MCU crossover will be overcrowded.

Now, one of the stars of the movie has assured the viewers that the next film will not turn its heroes into mere background characters.

In a recent interview, Lewis Pullman, the actor behind Sentry in the MCU, clarified that the film’s directors, Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, are ensuring that every character receives substantial screen time. Pullman says that the creative team is concerned with providing the huge ensemble with breathing space, rather than making the film a fast procession of faces.

Having such a big roster, some heroes would easily be lost in the crowd. But Pullman feels that the directors are taking the project seriously. “Every character has a moment that builds their dimensions. The Russo brothers did that so well. They do not want anyone just sitting in the background,” he shared. It is not surprising considering that the Russos have worked with massive casts for previous MCU films like Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Those movies managed to juggle several plots and character lines, which the audience hopes to see replicated in ‘Doomsday’. Pullman also alluded to the fact that the movie will feature thrilling collaborations between characters that have never been on screen together. For longtime Marvel fans, that promise in itself is enough to get the speculation going.

New Crossovers Could Be One of the Film’s Biggest Highlights

One of the reasons why ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is so exciting is the sheer number of characters that are likely to be present.

The MCU heroes will allegedly be accompanied by the characters related to the older X-Men universe and the next ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’. And there is the headline-grabbing comeback of Robert Downey Jr. as Doom. The film is still going on behind the scenes at full speed.

Avengers: Doomsday’ reshoots will likely start in the near future before the production crew switches to shooting ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, the next big installment in the Multiverse Saga of the MCU.

At this point, much of the story is being kept under strict secrecy, something that Pullman admitted to when talking about Marvel projects. Nevertheless, judging by his remarks, fans can expect more than just a collection of cameos when the film finally arrives.
