Marvel’s upcoming series, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, is set to deliver some of the most intense action sequences the studio has ever put on screen. This promise comes from Brad Winderbaum, the head of streaming, television, and animation at Marvel Studios.
The original ‘Daredevil’ also had a lot of violence with some fans even labeling it as Marvel’s most gruesome show. So, Brad’s claim that the new show will surpass its predecessor in terms of violence is both concerning and intriguing. Here’s what he has said.

“I’ll tell you, some of the most brutal action we’ve ever brought to the screen is coming in Daredevil: Born Again, which isn’t a horror show. But really it packs a lot of power and there’s a lot of visceral action,” he stated. The show may not be classified as a horror series, but Winderbaum’s description of “brutal action” and “visceral” content suggests that viewers should be prepared for some graphic and disturbing sequences.
Moreover, it’s clear that the show’s creators are aiming to push the boundaries of what is possible on television. The show’s 18-episode format will also allow for a deeper exploration of the character and the world of Hell’s Kitchen. So, fans can expect to see a more mature and introspective Daredevil.
The show will feature Matt grappling with the consequences of his actions. In addition, it will also address the toll that his vigilante lifestyle has taken on him.

The horror on screen in Agatha is going to be different than the horror on screen in Marvel Zombies, is going to be different than the horror on screen in Blade,” he explained. According to him, each project will draw inspiration from different horror cues, resulting in a diverse and chaotic tapestry of fear.
Moreover, his comments highlight the flexibility and adaptability of the MCU. Marvel allowing for a wide range of storytelling styles and genres opens up a lot of possibilities. While horror may be a relatively new territory for the franchise, it’s clear that Marvel is committed to exploring the genre in innovative and exciting ways.
