Not many modern comic book heroes have gained fans as fast as Miles Morales. The young web-slinger has become one of the most popular characters in the Spider-Man mythology since its introduction in Marvel Comics in 2011.
Due to the success of ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ and ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, Miles is now a household name among moviegoers worldwide.
Miles Morales Feels Ready For Live Action After Spider-Verse’s Success

Even with all that popularity, there is one milestone that is yet to be reached: a live-action version of Miles Morales. It is a possibility that now seems a bit more tangible with the buildup to ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’. In case the animated trilogy really comes to its end with that movie, it can also leave the door open to the continuation of the story of Miles in a completely new place.

To a lot of fans, the concept is not only thrilling, but it is long overdue. The naming of the Spider-Verse movies has been an indication of its expanding nature. ‘Into the Spider-Verse’ presented the viewers with the idea of multiple Spider-heroes existing in various realities. The Spider-Verse expanded that concept by revealing a whole web of parallel universes with web-slingers.
So when the next chapter is going to go beyond, it is natural to speculate. What is outside the Spider-Verse? Other fans feel that the solution may lie in a transition into live-action narrative. The franchise has already crossed that boundary, after all. In ‘Across the Spider-Verse’, viewers had a momentary glimpse of the live-action portrayal of the Prowler, portrayed by Donald Glover.
Other cinematic Spider-Man universes were also mentioned in the film, albeit in a subtle way, being incorporated into the animated multiverse. Such moments render the transition to live-action less unattainable and more of a logical progression.
MCU Could Serve As The Perfect Home

If Miles Morales is brought to life, the biggest question will be where his story will go. Although Sony is already developing its own Spider-Man projects, most fans feel that the character would thrive best in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. An interesting opportunity is already presented by the MCU, with a young Spider-Man played by Tom Holland.

The introduction of Miles would enable the franchise to experiment with a mentor-and-successor relationship that is present in the comics. The audience also obviously adores Miles. His emotional experience, his humour, and the cultural influence of the Spider-Verse movies have seen him become one of the most successful modern heroes of Marvel.
Naturally, when Miles finally makes it to live-action, whoever plays him will have a massive burden of expectations. The animated adaptation has established a very high standard, combining heart, action, and style in a manner that has reinvented the superhero narrative. Nevertheless, there is one thing that the Spider-Verse films have demonstrated: there’s room for more than one Spider-hero to shine.
