Sony has reportedly revamped the script for ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse‘ following the release of ‘Across the Spider-Verse‘. The studio is said to be undecided on the film’s ending.
Moreover, this has sparked both excitement and concern among fans. According to insider Brandon Davis (@BrandonDavisBD), this indecision has left fans wondering how the epic Spider-Verse trilogy will conclude.
The ‘Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse’ Team Has Consistently Reassured Fans About The Film’s Progress
Despite ‘Spider-Man 4’ securing a July 2026 release date for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, the release date for ‘Beyond the Spider-Verse’ remains shrouded in mystery. Initially slated for March 2024, the movie was pulled from Sony’s release schedule in July 2023, with no clear timeline for its return.
Rumors of a significant delay to 2027 emerged in September 2024. However, they were promptly shut down by producer Chris Miller, who reassured fans that production was progressing smoothly. “Nothing has been scrapped. The reels are coming along nicely,” Miller commented.
Additionally, composer Daniel Pemberton also dismissed speculation about behind-the-scenes issues. “Would you ever believe there could sometimes be stuff on the internet that might not always be particularly accurate?” he wrote on X. While these reassurances have been appreciated, new reports about script changes and an indecisive ending have reignited fan concerns.
Spider-Verse 3 Marketing May Have Just Kicked Off In Style
After months of radio silence, it seems the marketing campaign for ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ might finally be springing to life. Fans in New York City recently spotted what appears to be the first sign of promotion for the long-awaited sequel; a striking neon-white spider logo at 140 W 15th Street.

The mural bears a striking resemblance to the logo associated with series protagonist Miles Morales. Moreover, it was shared online by user @phil_spvrs on X. While Sony has yet to confirm its connection to the Spider-Verse franchise, fans are convinced this mural marks the start of the film’s marketing efforts.
Chelsea, the neighborhood where the mural appeared, played a pivotal role in ‘Across the Spider-Verse’ as the home of Spider-Gwen. Additionally, the buzz grew louder when insider Alex Perez teased an exciting December for Spider-Man fans. “December’s gonna be a lovely time of year for [Spider-Man] fans,” he wrote on X.
Perez hinted that more news may be on the way but stopped short of providing specifics, encouraging fans to “stay tuned.” The sudden appearance of this mural, combined with the insider reports, has sparked a lot of speculation. Could this be a sign that the film’s release date is closer than expected? Or is Sony simply stoking anticipation after months of uncertainty?
