Almost four years after the splashy MCU debut of ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’, the question remains the same: when will Jennifer Walters come back? As ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ approaches and Phase 6 slots are already filling, speculation has only intensified, particularly following rumors that Tatiana Maslany had declined a comeback.
Her response? Classic Maslany: amused, evasive, and very She-Hulk-coded.
Is She-Hulk Really Coming Back?

Maslany was directly questioned in a recent interview whether she turned down appearing in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Instead of affirming or disaffirming, she tilted towards the playful mystery. “You’ll never know. I don’t know. Do you know?”, she told ET. “Nope. Disney has approached me to play She-Hulk again. Guys, I said no. Because I just did. This is the facts,” She previously shared on Comedy Bang! Bang! Podcast.

It is the type of response that is intentional. It is a well-known fact that Marvel actors are trained to say nothing and sound like they said everything. The coyness of Maslany does not prove that she was involved, but it does not rule out the possibility either. It keeps the conversation alive, and that is where Marvel prefers it.
The absence of clarity is particularly evident since She-Hulk has not been seen since her Disney+ series. In contrast to other newcomers of the Multiverse Saga, Jennifer Walters has not received a second appearance yet, so the question arises among the fans whether there is more or something stranger that Marvel has in mind.
Tatiana Maslany Takes Aim At MCU Rumors

The remarks made by Maslany are also preceded by a considerably noisier scene on the podcast, where she openly mocked reports claiming she had been “fired” or refused to return. Her exaggerated rant, touching on everything from being “woke” to rejecting Marvel out of spite, was clearly satire, poking fun at how easily misinformation spreads online.

“That’s disgusting. I’m embarrassed to even be here.’ They really wanted me to be in Doomsday, Avengers-style, or whatever. I turned them down. I’m confirming it here.” The most important thing was not that Maslany turned down Marvel, but that she thinks the rumors are absurd. She softened the story by leaning into humor, without providing actual answers. Her response was reflective of the meta-aware tone of She-Hulk herself.
At this point, Marvel Studios has not yet announced the presence of She-Hulk in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. That silence might signify anything: a cameo, a surprise part, or a real absence. In any case, Maslany appears to be quite happy with letting the fans guess. And honestly? That could be the most She-Hulk thing to do.
