According to Jeff Sneider, Josh Brolin has been offered the part of Hal Jordan, the seasoned Green Lantern who mentors John Stewart, a younger Lantern. Additionally, casting for John Stewart is open and the DCU is looking for a black actor aged between 27-35 years old for the role.
While the news hasn’t been officially confirmed, the possibility of him joining the series is certainly intriguing. Moreover, Brolin is no stranger to the superhero genre, having portrayed Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Cable in the ‘Deadpool’ franchise. His experience in these high-profile roles would undoubtedly help with the character.
While Brolin has technically played a DC character before in the Jonah Hex movie, his performance in that film was widely criticized. However, his exceptional portrayal of villains in MCU was enough to win fans over.
