Hugh Jackman retired from his role as Wolverine in 2017 but made a comeback after a long time with ‘Deadpool And Wolverine‘. Though fans expected another actor to take on Jackman’s role in the MCU, he still wants to hold on to the suit for a little longer.
The actor will play Wolverine in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ and more Marvel movies. He recently admitted wants to make more of Deadpool and Wolverine’s overlapping stories with Ryan Reynolds, which is definitely a dream come true for all Marvel fans, as gloriously proved by the box-office collection of ‘Deadpool And Wolverine‘.
Hugh Jackman Will Stay In The MCU For A Little Longer
Jackman is connected to Wolverine deeply and shall appear in other Marvel projects after ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. Ryan Reynolds certainly hopes Jackman will continue to delight MCU fans. He has been praising Jackman’s return and association with Marvel beyond the upcoming ‘Avengers: Secret Wars‘.
Jackman also hopes to make more Deadpool And Wolverine movies. This comes as no surprise after the success of ‘Deadpool And Wolverine‘ which passed the $1 billion milestone at the box office. Marvel would surely want to cash in with the duo of Hugh and Ryan after the blockbuster movie and fans would surely love it too.
At one point, Deadpool calls the portal a, “Marvel Sparkle Circle”. Mostly because while we were writing, I didn’t know what it was actually called. The movie came like a helping hand for Marvel Cinematic Universe after its downfall. Fans waited long for the old Marvel essence and the MCU is doing it perfectly now. Everyone has high hopes for future projects as well.
With Hugh Jackman returning after a long break, fans expect him to do some more roles in the Marvel Universe and so does Ryan Reynolds. While chatting with the New York Times during movie promotions, Ryan gushed over the return of Hugh and his dream of working with him which turned into reality.
He said, “I have waited forever to do a movie with this guy and I think he’s waited a long to do something like this with me, so there are scenes where it’s pretty hard to distinguish between Wade talking to Logan and Ryan talking to Hugh.”
He added that Marvel is “gonna make him do all of this till he’s 90“. Well, us too Ryan, we would love to see Hugh in the yellow suit forever.
