When asked about a potential Deadpool-Spider-Man film, Levy told Total Film, “Boy, I’d sure love to see Deadpool and Spidey. That’s a movie I’d love to make“. He praised Tom Holland, saying “I feel like Tom Holland would run circles around everyone else“. Levy recognized Reynolds’ incredible improvisational abilities and witty personality as Deadpool. At the same time, he expressed confidence in Holland keeping up with that energy through his talented portrayal of Spider-Man.
Levy said, “The thing about Deadpool is I think he makes everything more interesting because of his audacity“. He hinted that putting Deadpool alongside Spider-Man’s more upbeat, excitable personality would create boundless comic opportunities. Their differing styles interacting promises unending chaotic fun for both characters and viewers. Fans have waited a long time to see these heroes onscreen together and Levy seems like the perfect director to helm such a project.

Levy Wants Titania To Face Off Against Deadpool
In the same interview, Levy’s executive producer Wendy Jacobson proposed an intriguing opponent for Deadpool, She-Hulk villain Titania. Jacobson praised Jameela Jamil’s “heightened, hilarious” portrayal of the character. She expressed that only a similarly quick-witted performer could go toe-to-toe with Reynolds. Levy also agreed and stated that their personalities and humor would be something fresh on screen.
Shawn Levy’s interest has excited fans about the possibility of finally seeing Deadpool and Spider-Man in a movie together, especially if handled by the director’s skilled comedic vision.
