With the final trailer of MCU’s ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania’ released, fans are hyped to see the development of the new Marvel villain, Kang. Kang first appeared in the Disney+ series, ‘Loki’. And with the new Ant-Man trailers, we will see more of the upcoming supervillain. However, the screening of some footage from the movie at San Diego Comic-Con has been turning heads as it reveals the identity of another Marvel villain, MODOK.
MODOK was supposed to have its first appearance in 2013 ‘Iron Man 3’ but was decided to be delayed. Later, Marvel planned to introduce the character in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’. But that plan too was dropped. MODOK will finally appear in the MCU franchise with the release of ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania’. Let’s learn which actor will play the superintelligent killer.

Who Is MODOK?
In Marvel comics, MODOK is short for “Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing”. George Tarleton is the name of the villain. He was a former employee at AIM (Advance Idea Mechanics). George underwent an experiment, exposed to the substantial mutagen, which was successful. With a transformation in his DNA, George became very intelligent.
However, it led to major physical changes in his body. His head enlarged abnormally and relatively the rest of his body became small, giving him his well-known chair look. MODOK then took over AIM.
The gigantic head villain has appeared in numerous comics like Ms. Marvel, Marvel Adventures, Marvel Max, Ultimate Marvel, Earth X, and Old Man Logan. MODOK first appeared in ‘Tales of Suspense’ and was initially Captain America’s enemy. Later he had several encounters with Carol Danvers, The Defenders, Wolverine, and many more. Let’s see who was cast as the superintelligent killer.

Who Plays MODOK?
Since in Iron Man 3 Aldrich Killian took over AIM, many theories came up with Guy Pearce as the villain. However, they would have to bring some magic, to bring back the dead. Last we saw Killian, he was probably in the cinders. (Although there is no insufficiency of magic in Marvel.) Ultimately the San Diego screening uncovered the actor who will play MODOK. Corey Stoll will return to Marvel as a new villain, MODOK, in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
It is quite simple when we put together the pieces. Darren Cross, who was the Yellow Jacket in the first installment of the Ant-Man franchise, was infinitely reduced to sub-atomic form as his regulator malfunctioned. He never died! Much easier to make an alive character the new villain. Darren will assume the role of the new villain MODOK. The third installment of Ant-Man is set to release in cinemas on 17 February 2023.
