The film concluded with two end-credit scenes, one of which was a direct bridge to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. In a surprising turn, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine publicly rebranded her team of morally grey antiheroes as the “New Avengers.”

It was a major branding shift and one that signaled their elevated role in the MCU. However, it was the second post-credits scene that truly got fans buzzing. Jake Schreier later confirmed to EW that the scene was not just a tease; it was actually filmed for ‘Doomsday’. “That is a scene from Doomsday, so in theory, yes,” Schreier explained when asked if the New Avengers’ updated suits in the clip were their official costumes for the crossover. “Now, things can change, as they do in the Marvel world, but as currently constituted, you were watching a small hint of that film.”
The scene was filmed just a month ago and not even by Schreier himself. “I was very happy to be there and lucky to be there,” he said. “It was so fun to see your characters go off into this bigger context.” While Russell might not know his fate, the cast of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ suggests a film of truly epic proportions.
