“You Never Know”: Halle Berry Hints At A Potential Return As Storm In Upcoming ‘Avengers’ Films

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe prepares to enter its next saga with the Avengers sequels, fans have been speculating on the possibilities for legacy characters to make their return. One actress who continues to express enthusiasm for reprising her iconic role is Halle Berry, who for years has played Storm of the ‘X-Men‘.

While Berry did not make an appearance in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘, she has not ruled out coming back as the weather-wielding mutant in the future. With the reveal that ‘Avengers: Secret Wars‘ will pull from the classic comic event of the same name, many are guessing this may provide opportunities for crossovers between the X-Men and Avengers. Halle Berry has weighed in on such speculation in a recent interview, keeping the door open for Storm’s potential comeback.

When asked about her absence from ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘, Halle Berry told Josh Wilding that she had been interested in returning but was never directly approached. “Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yeah, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me,” she revealed.

In the same interview, Halle Berry was asked about ‘Avengers: Secret Wars‘, to which she gave a cryptic response: “Perhaps you never know“. She said that she has her “fingers crossed” for the potential of coming back.

Halle Berry also made it clear that she enjoys playing superheroes. “I would revisit any of them, actually. I loved all of those characters and I was always grateful to get to play them,” she said. These quotes demonstrate her enthusiasm for Storm and optimism surrounding future Marvel opportunities.

With Joe and Anthony Russo set to direct the ‘Avengers’ sequels after the success of films like ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame‘, many are predicting their events will pull out all the stops. This has led to theories that mutant and X-Men characters may factor significantly, possibly including Halle Berry.

Storm would be a natural fit and potentially get to showcase her abilities against cosmic threats. Her potential for high-octane action sequences makes her a good choice for the Russo’s expected huge crossover scopes. While nothing is confirmed as of now, Halle Berry is ensuring fans she remains hopeful.
