Ryan Reynolds talked about which star he would pick to star in an exclusive classic version of ‘Deadpool‘, if he could, and he chose Cary Grant for the role. “I am in no way comparing myself to him,” Reynolds said in an interview with Turner Classic Movies.
“But I would think Cary Grant had a bit of a silver tongue. And I think Howard Hawks could direct it because the rapid-fire dialogue that he was so gifted at putting on the screen would suit him perfectly,” he said, then joked, “I am definitely laying claim to [being] the next Cary Grant, particularly his retired era.”
He was referring to iconic classic actor Cary Grant who was a British-American actor known for his captivating charm, sophisticated wit, and versatility on screen.
