It has been many years since the DC Comics characters are being presented on celluloid. These characters which are etched on paper were constructed for the cinematic experiences. After many years, in 2013, DC introduced its extended universe and since then Warner Bros. and DC Comics collaboration has been invincible.
But now, DC along with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment in collaboration with TCG Entertainment will bring a mesmerizing auditory experience. The trio is planning to bring DC films and present them to people in a live orchestral form. After the comics and films, DC is extending the experience to a live concert. Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ Will Be The First Film In ‘DC In Concert’ Series
On March 4th, 2022, DC and Warner Bros. released Matt Reeves’ take on the Gotham Knight in ‘The Batman’. It starred Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne along with Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, and Colin Farell. The film collected $770 million worldwide. So, the Comics and Production Company decided to kickstart the concert interpretation of DC films with this commercial hit.
The film is set to debut at the ‘DC in Concert’ series with an orchestral experience for the fans. It will begin at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on March 18th, 2023. The orchestra will perform the Academy-winning composer, Michael Giacchino’s score live while the visuals are running. The lineup also includes live concerts of the scores of ‘Batman’, ‘Justice League’, ‘Black Adam’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods!’, ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’.

“Iconic Scores Being Performed Live”: Peter van Roden On The Live Concert Experience
Some of the DC films have had one of the best sound experiences complemented with the visuals. The 2019 ‘Joker’ won an Academy Award for Best Original Score. The heart-wrenching score of Hildur Gudnadottir made the experience more trance-like and real at the same time. Peter van Roden, the Senior Vice President of Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment talked about the top-notch auditory experience.
He said, “The films in this series are some of the most recognizable from the DC Universe and we’re looking forward to taking the cinematic experience to the next level, giving fans a whole new way to experience the scope of their favorite DC movies with the iconic scores being performed live.”
