‘Fast XI’ Will Bring The Franchise’s Story Into A Full Circle
Shedding more details about the location and story of the upcoming film, Leterrier revealed that the final movie will return to Los Angeles, where the franchise began. The film series will thus be brought in a full circle with its last part. Leterrier said that the decision is both a nod to the franchise’s roots and a way to provide closure to the film’s story.
“We wanna bring it back home, and still have a great big journey to tell,” he said, adding a resounding “yes” in response to a question enquiring if he knew how the film would end.
The last part of the franchise, ‘Fast X‘, brought Dante’s character played by Jason Momoa as the squad’s most formidable adversary so far. The film saw Dominic Toretto played by Dwayne Johnsons and his team fighting off against Dante, who seeks vengeance as the son of a drug lord taken down by Hobbs in a previous part of the film.
The film concludes with Dom protecting his son from Dante’s threats in what appears to be a warzone. With this climax, the film left a lot of possibilities for its next installment, which the fans can now expect to find out in 2026.
