Henry Cavill Saved His Co-Star’s Life On Set
Proving that he is a hero on screen, as well as off-screen too, Henry Cavill came to the rescue of one of his co-stars, while on the set for ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’. Alex Pettyfer, who stars alongside Cavill in the film gushed about the Superman actor and how on one occasion he was saved by him. “He saved me from falling off a boat,” Pettyfer said, adding “I nearly drowned! So I can officially say I’ve been saved by Henry. And I’m very grateful to be on this film with you.”
The actor was all praise for Henry as he continued and said, “Henry has a way about him where it’s about the quality and about coming together and there is no hierarchy. He brings a humbleness to the set with everyone.”
Then sending a direct message to Cavill himself, he said, “It was an amazing honor, by the way, to be on this film with you because it’s a learning curve to see how a number one treats everyone in the cast and crew. What Is ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ About?
To be released on April 19, 2024, Guy Ritchie’s film is based on a true story that has been adapted from Damian Lewis’ book. It centers on a covert military unit that Ian Fleming and Winston Churchill established during World War II.
According to Lionsgate Play, the synopsis reads, “Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.“
The main cast includes, apart from Henry Cavill; Henry Golding, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin.
The film will hit theatres on April 19th, while it will also be available to stream on Prime Video.
