Ryan Gosling, the charismatic Ken from Margot Robbie’s ‘Barbie‘ movie, has a parenting predicament – should his daughters witness their father’s plastic alter ego or not? In a chat with E! It gets pretty crazy.”

While his daughters, Esmerelda who is 9, and Amada who is 7, haven’t seen the full flick, however, they did get a sneak peek on set during the vibrant musical number. For Ryan Gosling, crafting the ‘Barbie‘ movie was more than a Hollywood gig, it was a family project. He explained, “Making Barbie was a way to sort of make something both for and with them”. His daughters’ affinity for the iconic doll aisle inspired him to take on the Ken role.

Looking ahead, Gosling expressed his desire to reunite on screen with his partner in real life, Eva Mendes. Reflecting on their past collaboration in ‘The Place Beyond the Pines,’ he gushed, “That was the greatest experience I had making a film, so I hope so.”

While the Gosling-Mendes household keeps things private, the actor, during his Kirk Douglas Award acceptance, sweetly credited movies for his dream life, including meeting Eva: “I got to meet the girl of my dreams, Eva Mendes.”
