Daisy Edgar-Jones will step into the role of sensible Elinor, while Esmé Creed-Miles portrays the passionate Marianne. This marks the first major screen revival of the novel since the iconic 1995 film starring Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet, still widely regarded as one of the finest Austen adaptations ever made.

Mattel’s iconic ‘He-Man’ toy line is finally coming to our screens. With its fanbase dating back to the 1980s, this sword-and-sorcery film will finally be released on June 5, 2026.

Nicholas Galitzine will take on the role of Prince Adam, aka He-Man. The movie follows his journey back to his home planet, Eternia, to save it from evil forces. He will face off against the evil tyrannical ruler Skeletor, played by Jared Leto. The cast also includes Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, and Morena Baccarin.

9. Werwulf (December 25, 2026)

Get ready to be transported back to the Middle Ages this Christmas, because horror maestro Robert Eggers is returning with another period gothic horror film. From the creators of ‘Nosferatu’ and ‘The Witch’, ‘Werwulf’ is sure to leave your nerves shredded.

The movie will be set in a small English village in the 13th century, where a mysterious creature straight out of local folklore haunts the villagers. It is scheduled for release in theaters on December 25, 2026.

Eggers will be reuniting with Lily-Rose Depp in the movies. Along with them, we will also see Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe, Ralph Ineson, and more.

This time, we will get to see his experience in the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the 2nd Quarter Quell, which requires twice as many tributes.

Along with high stakes, the movie also features a stacked cast, including Joseph Zada, Elle Fanning, Kieran Culkin, Whitney Peak, McKenna Grace, Ben Wang, Glenn Close, Jesse Plemons, Ralph Fiennes, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, Billy Porter, and more. As political plots and a galaxy-wide war threaten his empire, Paul will need to address the future of his family and his throne. The film will feature Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach de Bankolé, Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson, and Javier Bardem.

4. Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu (May 22, 2026)

Instead of the fourth season of the series, Disney has decided to give us ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’. It is a standalone film that will finally see the return of the ‘Star Wars’ universe to theaters on May 22, 2026.

Pedro Pascal will be reprising his role as Din Djarin/The Mandalorian, along with everyone’s favorite little friend, Grogu. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, the duo works for the New Republic while the threats of imperial warlords hover over them.

Jeremy Allen White will be joining the ‘Star Wars’ universe as Rotta the Hutt, the son of deceased crime lord Jabba the Hutt. Sigourney Weaver will also join the cast, though her role remains a mystery.

This means the movie will reunite the beloved ensemble cast from all these Marvel franchises. The biggest twist lies in Robert Downey Jr.’s role: he will return not as Iron Man but as Doctor Doom, leading this team. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will be released on December 18, 2026.
