Crediting one of the most satisfying endings in horror-comedy history, ‘Ready or Not‘ flipped the “final girl” trope and blew it apart. Now, as the sequel ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come‘ gears up for release, the chaos is no longer centered on a lone survivor. This time, the danger and the fight back come doubled.
Now that Samara Weaving’s Grace is returning, she’s no longer standing alone against the madness of ritualistic elites. The sequel introduces her sister into the blood-soaked game and sets up a far more dangerous dynamic. What we’re about to witness is the rise of a sibling duo that could be just as lethal as the twisted family hunting them.
Grace Finally Has Backup In ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’

The first movie definitely hardened Grace from a damsel in distress to a blood-soaked reaper. However, this time around, the creators are amping up the ‘ride or die’ energy with a partner in the bloody circus. This inadvertently drives the sequel to have better character development, as Grace evolves from a traumatised fighter into a protector of her sister. Not to mention how clueless Faith, the sister, is of the absurd bloodthirst of the secret society.
There’s also the supposed estrangement, which will add more layers to the plotline. The first film was persistant on depicting Grace as a happy-go-lucky lead who just wants to feel belonged. That is, until she realises she has bloodhounds for in-laws. Without any mention of a sibling in the first film, this new addition leaves the audience clueless about Faith’s origin.
The Mystery Around Faith Could Be The Sequel’s Biggest Twist

By moving away from Grace’s solo survival story, the sequel becomes far more unpredictable, and that’s exactly what made the first film work so well.
No one expected the explosive ending of the Le Domas family, and that shock made the payoff even more satisfying. Watching Grace light that cigarette after everything went down felt like a perfect “I survived this madness” moment.

Now that Faith is stepping in, things feel even more uncertain. The trailer suggests the same level of brutal payback, but this time, Grace isn’t fighting alone. The sisters become each other’s only hope to escape, which raises the stakes in a very different way.
At the same time, Faith’s sudden presence brings up a big question: where did she come from, and why now? Especially since the sequel picks up right after the first film, her entry might be the twist that changes everything.
