Additionally, she even dropped a bombshell about unintentionally ending a celebrity engagement at Comic-Con years ago.
Sophie Turner Says Filming Intimate Scenes With Kit Harington Was The Worst
Turner and Kit Harington spent nearly a decade playing Sansa Stark and Jon Snow on HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’. Though their characters weren’t related by blood, they were raised as siblings in the Stark family, and audiences came to see them as brother and sister throughout the series. That familial bond carried over into real life, making their transition into romantic leads for ‘The Dreadful’ an unexpectedly nauseating challenge.

During her Aug. 14 appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Turner recalled sending the film’s script to Harington, whom she thought would be perfect for the male lead. However, when Harington replied, he immediately expressed concern. “He kind of sent me a message back going like, ‘Yeah, I’d love to, but this is going to be really weird, Soph,’” Turner explained with a laugh.
“And I was like, ‘What is he talking about?’ Then I was reading the script and it’s like, ‘Kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex…’ And then I’m like, ‘Oh, shoot, that’s my brother.’” Despite the initial hesitation, both Turner and Harington agreed the script was too good to pass up. They committed to the roles, trying to push aside their sibling-like bond for the sake of the story. But when the cameras rolled, reality hit them both hard.
“We put it out of our minds, and then we get on set and it’s the first kissing scene, and we are both retching. Like, really, it is vile. It was the worst,” Turner admitted, grimacing at the memory. The moment was funny for fans, but for Turner and Harington, the discomfort was very real.

As if the “retching kiss” story weren’t enough, Sophie Turner also dropped a jaw-dropping confession about her role in ending a Hollywood couple’s engagement without even realizing it at the time. Back in 2014, Turner attended a San Diego Comic-Con afterparty with her childhood friend. Her friend admired a particular actor at the party and begged Turner to wave at him. Obliging, Turner did just that. What happened next escalated in a way she never could have imagined.

“And then later I see this girl looking at me, and she’s a famous actress, and I was like, ‘Oh, I have to go and tell her how much she means to me,’” Turner recalled. “But before I could even finish, she goes, ‘Can you stop flirting with my fiancé?’” Turner, stunned, insisted she had only waved at him. However, according to her, the damage was already done. “They broke their engagement off that night,” she revealed to a shocked Seth Meyers and his audience.
While Turner didn’t disclose names, fans and tabloids were quick to connect the dots. Many speculated she was referring to Emma Roberts and Evan Peters, who were engaged in 2014 and attended Comic-Con together. Around that time, reports surfaced of tension between the two, and photographs from the event showed Roberts visibly upset. Though neither Roberts nor Peters has commented, the timeline has fueled the rumor mill ever since Turner’s story aired.
