The official trailer gives us the first look at Taron Egerton’s character. He plays the game publisher Henk Rogers. Hank gets enamored with the arcade game ‘Tetris’. Sensing a massive market for the game, he decides to bring the game under the rule of the Soviet Union. However, his resolve threatens his and his family’s safety.
The official synopsis from Apple TV reads, “‘Tetris’ tells the unbelievable story of how one of the world’s most popular video games found its way to avid players around the globe. Henk Rogers (Taron Egerton) discovers TETRIS in 1988 and then risks everything by traveling to the Soviet Union, where he joins forces with inventor Alexey Pajitnov (Nikita Efremov) to bring the game to the masses.”

‘Tetris‘ comes from a screenplay by Noah Pink. John S. Baird directs the film. Taron Egerton as Henk Rogers and Toby Jones as Robert Stein lead the cast of this biographical drama from Apple TV.
The cast includes Nikita Yefremov, Roger Allam, Anthony Boyle, Togo Igawa, Ken Yamamura, Ben Miles, Matthew Marsh, and Rick Yune. ‘Tetris‘ will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 15, 2023. The film will have its streaming premiere on March 31, 2023, only on Apple TV+.
