The Batman has lifted up the earnings of Imax during the first quarter. There is a huge boom in the Imax revenues. The profit margin has climbed fifty-five percent to sixty million dollars for the three months period in April. Imax has declared that this rise is due to “The Batman” as well as the re-release of “Get Back”, a documentary film about the beetles.

Losses have been narrowed down to 13.6 million dollars or twenty-three cents per share. Which when compared is favorable to 14.8 million dollars or 25 cents per share in losses reported last year. The company is trying to redeem the profit margin.

Imax suggested that the losses which they received in the Covid time are going to change. They are hopeful with the releases of blockbusters like “Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” and “Jurassic World Dominion.” The company has offered amazing technology which is suited for the big-budget action films.

Imax’s Profits have taken a toll due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions from the US and it’s allies. Imax had offices in Russia and recorded a net non-cash provision of 6.9 million dollars. In China, the Covid shutdowns have resulted in a decrease in Imax’s revenues.

Overall Imax has reported a global box office result of 173.2 million dollars for the quarter. But this improved finances of Imax did not make an impact on the Wall Street. Imax’s shares are still down 6.5% in after-hours trading.
