10 Netflix Shows That Are Total Trash

    Insatiable

    Insatiable

Insatiable had controversy surrounding it before it even premiered, and the show didn’t do much to change anyone’s opinion. Its story about Patty, a bullied teen who loses weight only after an accident, was seen as outdated and insensitive. Critics called out the show’s stereotypes and over-the-top plotting, saying it tried to be edgy but ended up being mean-spirited instead. Even strong performers couldn’t save the messy writing.

    Richie Rich

    Richie Rich

Netflix’s Richie Rich tried to modernize the beloved 1994 cult classic but ended up feeling cheap, shallow, and oddly joyless. The premise of a kid trillionaire living in a mansion packed with wild gadgets and a robot maid should’ve been a comedy goldmine, right? Instead, weak production values, flat humor, and a tone-deaf celebration of materialism dragged it down. Adding to the problem, Richie himself came off as more spoiled than charming, making him hard to root for.

    Real Rob

    Real Rob

Real Rob follows Rob Schneider playing a version of himself, but the series didn’t win over many viewers. Critics felt the humor fell flat and that the show didn’t offer anything interesting or relatable. Instead of feeling like a clever look at a comedian’s everyday life, it mostly came across as self-indulgent and awkward.

    Haters Back Off!

    Haters Back Off!

Haters Back Off! brings Miranda Sings from YouTube to Netflix, and whether you like the show completely depends on how much you enjoy her awkward, over-the-top personality. What works in short online videos becomes much harder to sit through in full episodes. Critics felt the humor stretched too thin, making the show more uncomfortable than funny. While the idea has some charm, many viewers struggled to connect with Miranda as a main character.

    Iron Fist

    Iron Fist

Iron Fist gives us a strong lineup of Marvel shows on Netflix, so fans expected another hit but that’s not what they got. The series was widely considered the weakest of the franchise, with critics calling it bland and lacking energy. Many viewers felt the story dragged and that Danny Rand wasn’t nearly as interesting as the heroes who came before him. Although the character improved a bit in “The Defenders,” his solo show never recovered from its poor start.

    Girlboss

    Girlboss

Girlboss aimed to tell a bold, edgy story based on a real-life business success, but it didn’t quite get there. Viewers found the main character hard to root for and felt the show tried too hard to be quirky without adding depth. Critics were even harsher, calling it one of Netflix’s first truly bad originals. The show was canceled after one season, which is rare for Netflix, and the decision seemed to match its lukewarm reception.

    The I-Land

    The I-Land

The I-Land promised a gripping sci-fi mystery inspired by the groundbreaking show, Lost, but it quickly unraveled into one of Netflix’s most infamous misfires. Yes, the story began as a survival thriller about strangers waking up on a deserted island, but got plagued by messy blend of incoherent twists including prison system conspiracy and a weird game, shallow characters, and cringe-worthy dialogue. The show is essentially a cautionary tale of ambition without direction.

    Fuller House

    Fuller House

When Netflix announced a revival of “Full House,” nostalgia levels were sky-high. But once “Fuller House” premiered, critics weren’t impressed. Many felt it relied too heavily on cheesy throwbacks and sentimental moments instead of creating fresh, modern stories. Some even joked that it felt like a parody of itself. Still, fans of the original show kept watching, proving that comfort TV can survive even when reviews are rough.

    Gypsy

    Gypsy

“Gypsy,” starring Naomi Watts as a therapist crossing professional boundaries, had all the ingredients for a tense psychological thriller, except the tension. Critics found it slow, flat, and not nearly as gripping as it should’ve been. Instead of delivering big emotional twists, the story felt unfocused and a bit dull. Reviewers described it as unconvincing, with characters who never quite came to life.

    Marseille

    Marseille

As Netflix’s first French original, “Marseille” had a lot of hype behind it. Unfortunately, the series didn’t live up to expectations. French critics were especially harsh, calling out its predictable plot and overly dramatic tone. American reviewers weren’t much kinder, pointing out that the political drama felt packed with clichés rather than genuine twists. Even with Gérard Depardieu leading the cast, “Marseille” struggled to stand out.
