Cathy Simms – 'The Office'

In 'The Office', Cathy Simms appeared as a temporary replacement for Pam while she was on maternity leave. She became involved in a scandalous plot where she tried to seduce Jim. Although the creators presented her as a troublesome character, she disappeared from the screen once she completed her arc. There were no references made to what she was doing later in her life by the show's producers.

Detective Daniels – 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'

The character Detective Daniels, who appeared in the first episode of 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', did so solely as part of the precinct. Although introduced alongside other regular characters, she was never seen again on the show, nor was there any reference to her after that first episode. This is another case of character disappearance in which the departure is not very noticeable, yet still evident enough to be pointed out.

Mandy Hampton – 'The West Wing'

Tina Pinciotti – 'That ’70s Show'

Tina Pinciotti played Donna’s sister on 'That ’70s Show'. Following her first and only appearance in the show, Donna was retconned to be an only daughter. The only mention made of her thereafter was a joking comment about Donna being an only child. This remains one of the most notable continuity errors made by That ’70s Show writers.

Dr. Grace Miller – 'Scrubs'

The character of Dr. Grace Miller from 'Scrubs' was a stern, capable surgeon above Turk and had an important role in the show during the third season. She had a distinctive personality, along with a subplot about Dr. Cox having a crush on her; however, she simply vanished after a few episodes. While she is shown in the finale scene, there is reason to believe that this was just another dream sequence, as her departure remains unexplained.

Buzz Hickey – 'Community'

Buzz Hickey, who is featured on the television show 'Community', was depicted as a criminology professor with previous experience as a policeman and emerged as an essential sidekick in season five of the series. His abrasive nature and mentoring contributed to enhancing the relationships among the characters. Nevertheless, once the season came to an end, Buzz never appeared again, and the show failed to provide any substantial insight into why this happened.

John Bennett – 'Orange Is the New Black'

An important character who appeared in 'Orange Is the New Black' was John Bennett, who played a key role in the story as the correctional officer associated with Daya's complicated love life.
