Chris Martin Performs Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story’ For Vienna Crowd
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin gave a sweet dedication to Taylor Swift by performing a rendition of one of her most popular songs during his band’s performance at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium on Wednesday night. This came two weeks after Taylor was forced to cancel a run of shows at the stadium after authorities discovered a planned terror plot.
With Maggie Rogers’s performance as the opening act, Martin took the Music of the Spheres stage on the stadium’s floor, saying, “If this is not good, please, please don’t put it on YouTube because I don’t want to get in trouble with Taylor.” Then, asking for the audience’s support, he began to sing an acoustic rendition of Swift’s “wonderful” 2008 hit ‘Love Story.’
Asking for two Swifties to take the stage along with him, Martin added, “We sing this song with so much love for Taylor, with so much love for Swifties. And we sing this song with love for young people who are brainwashed into doing stupid s–t and we send them our love too.”

Taylor Swift’s Vienna Terror Threat Gets Her Show Cancelled
The arrest of two teens who were allegedly preparing for a terrorist attack outside the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna earlier this month resulted in the abrupt cancellation of three sold-out shows of the Eras Tour, according to Austrian officials. A few days later, a third person was taken into custody in relation to the alleged conspiracy.
According to Austrian authorities, a 19-year-old Austrian citizen and a 17-year-old Austrian citizen with Turkish and Croatian backgrounds had planned to use homemade explosives and knives to target people outside the event. Fans got a full refund of their tickets after the shows were canceled.
Speaking about the incident, Taylor said in a recent Instagram post, “The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows. But I was also so grateful to the authorities because thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives.”
