In an interview with New York Magazine, Charli XCX talked about her current status with Atlantic Records and also teased some new music. The British pop singer was careful to not reveal too much about her upcoming music projects but assured that it’s “definitely in the bratosphere,” suggesting a bold and futuristic music album.
Charli XCX further talked about her relationship with Atlantic Records and called it “tricky”, explaining that she has been often “interpreted as difficult”. Due to her high music standards and clear vision, she noted, “I don’t suffer bullsh**ters,” highlighting the prevalence of such music artists in the industry.

Charli XCX Shares Her Future Plans As A Musician
In the same interview, Charli XCX shared that she has been working with artists like Bon Iver and Danielle Haim of HAIM, sparking rumors of collaborations, that could bring her to New York.
Reflecting on her 2022 album ‘Crash’, the singer and songwriter admitted that it was a “sell-out main pop girlie” album, asserting that it did bring her mainstream success. However, she contended it’s something she doesn’t want to pursue in the long term.
“Do I want to be singing ‘Good Ones’ forever? Personally, no,” she said. “Those songs don’t get me off as much.”
This summer, Charli released her most popular album ‘Brat‘ earning a prize in the 2024 Mercury Prize shortlist. She maintained her good phase by releasing songs like Lorde (‘Girl, So Confusing’) and Billie Eilish (‘Guess’). Fans now eagerly await her next music drop.
