You probably have heard about singer Charli XCX the whole summer due to her standout album ‘Brat’. It created a strong foundation for her pop status. Charli’s songs like ‘Apple’ and ‘360‘ have become hit tracks.
Charli’s popularity skyrocketed in 2010 with her song ‘Boom Clap’ but she didn’t make a great splash in comparison to the waves she is making now. Musician Julian Casablancas praised her for handling her success well and being humble.
Julian Casablancas Praises Charli XCX For Being Grounded Through Immense Fame
Julian Casablancas is really glad to see that Charli XCX is getting the fame she deserves. He also got a chance to collaborate on one of her tracks ‘Mean Girls’ from her chart-topping LP.
Julian recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show‘ with Jimmy Fallon and talked about his feature on ‘Brat’. He said, “That was very serendipitous. I actually can’t believe how fast it happened. I feel like it was a few weeks ago that she asked me, and I was in LA. I sang, I spent a day doing stuff.”
He added, “I feel like fame has never hit someone at a better time, ’cause she’s been around a long time. She’s aware of the moment, this huge social moment, but also not taking herself too seriously, she handles it well, but also is humble… that’s why I wanted to do it. She was so cool.”
Charli XCX Is Also A Fan Of Julian Casablancas
While speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Charli XCX stated that people aren’t aware of Julian Casablancas’s diverse talent and his band The Strokes’ dancing prowess. She said, “It was fun on the remix album to bring all of these people in, some of whom aren’t particularly connected to the club world when you would think about it on the surface, but actually, Julian Casablancas, for example.“

She had a great time making music together and shining a light on The Strokes. Charli added, “You talk about New York downtown, people were partying then and really in a hardcore way, and so I think he of all people understands how to capture that kind of energy in a room and on the songs. It was crazy pulling that all together.”
