The police arrested Mitchell Taebel, who was charged with stalking and harassing Taylor Swift in a series of incidents. CNN has acquired court documents where Mitchell is charged with invasion of privacy, harassment, and intimidation.
As per the court records, Taylor Swift received a voice note from Mitchell Taebel on Instagram saying, “He would happily wear a bomb if he cannot be with his soul mate.” He sent messages to her dancers during the ‘Eras Tour,’ asking them whether ‘Vigilante Shit’ from ‘Midnights’ would have a “sexual performance.”
In May 2023, when Taylor Swift was in Nashville for the ‘Eras Tour’ concert, Mitchell traveled from Indiana to the ‘1989’ singer’s house in Nashville. He entered the penthouse through an unguarded door, and when security stopped him, he claimed to be a “great-looking, well-dressed, popular TV host.” The security guard called the police on him, but the man escaped before the police arrived.

The Police Barred Him From Entering Nashville Concert Of ‘Eras Tour’
After trespassing at Taylor Swift’s apartment and escaping, Mitchell Taebel put a video on social media, saying, “I went to [Swift’s] apartment complex, and anybody, in my opinion, that thinks it is illegal in any way to go to somebody’s apartment to see if they want to meet should be killed. They should die of a heart attack on a spot.”
The police got alerted and declared him a security threat, and they barred him from buying tickets to her Nashville concert on the ‘Eras Tour.’ Even after buying a ticket from a third party, he was thrown out of the venue when security spotted him.
The police released a restraining order against him, but the man continued his threatening behavior. On June 2, 2023, the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office arrested him on a $15,000 bond. He pleaded not guilty, but the records confirm that he is still in prison. The next hearing for Taebel will be on July 27, 2023.
