Celebrities have some serious love for the day Wednesday. First, “On Wednesdays, we wear pink” to Usher’s “I don’t eat anything on Wednesdays“. Indeed fasting is a good habit for good functioning of the gut and body. Usher has this ritual in his jam-packed life.
The singer shared that he wants to remain both physically and mentally healthy for his well-being, hence he fasts on Wednesdays as a habit he learnt from his grandmother.
Usher’s Routine Includes A Weekly Fast
The R&B singer shared his wellness habits with Wall Street Journal. The Grammy-winning artist starts most of his days with a “moment of reflection“. He then moves on to the next step which is either “stimulate my mind,” through yoga or do some reading. “It really does help to activate my organs and get my mind moving in the right direction,” Usher said.
But one day is an exception when he doesn’t eat anything, and it happens to be Wednesday. The singer continued, “I fast, not for religious purposes, but it’s something my grandmother practiced. I typically try to start around 11 p.m. the previous day, then go the entire day on Wednesday just drinking water.”
Usher is strict about his food habits and maintains a balanced and healthy lifestyle. He believes these habits will prepare his body for any imbalance and disease. Also, you glow from within and live a happy life this way.

Usher’s Diet And Fitness Routine
Many people prefer to consume coffee first thing in the morning to kick start their day, but Usher consumes his celery juice. He said, “No, typically I wake up and drink celery juice. I’ve been doing this concoction of lemon, ginger, water and cayenne pepper. I drink it hot.”
But he also joked, “It all depends on how I ended my night before. Sometimes a coffee martini is appropriate.” The singer shared it all related to his morning routine and healthy habits. For breakfast, he likes scrambled eggs with cheese but after he has done some exercise in the morning.
Usher said, “I don’t like to eat breakfast before I’ve worked out or done something physical: taking a walk, stretching or doing yoga, sitting in the sun and raising my body’s natural heat levels. Then I eat.”
In preparation for the Super Bowl Halftime performance, which was “one of the hardest 15 minutes that I’ll ever have in my life,” he mentioned, he got more regimented about his diet and routine.
