Her relationship with DaBaby further propelled her into the limelight. While the couple’s relationship was anything but smooth, they now continue to co-parent their daughter. Amid the drama, a footage of her scary laugh after her arrest has sent her fans into a frenzy.
Newly Released Footage Shows DaniLeigh Laughing During Arrest
In May 2023, DaniLeigh’s life took a troubling turn. The R&B singer was arrested near Miami Beach for a DUI hit-and-run that left a 17-year-old moped rider seriously injured. Newly released bodycam footage from the night of her arrest has reignited the controversy.
The video reveals a clearly intoxicated DaniLeigh being pulled from her car by Miami Beach police officers. When informed that she had allegedly hit a moped rider and dragged the scooter for several blocks, she appeared to brush it off.
“I’m an R&B singer, you can’t arrest me,” she said, as if her fame could exempt her from the law. The officers then discovered an open bottle of Don Julio tequila in her backseat. Yet, DaniLeigh, sitting on the sidewalk curb, laughed and claimed innocence.
She sobbed, “I didn’t hit nobody,” even as officers informed her that surveillance footage told a different story.

Was DaniLeigh Responsible For The Hit-And-Run Accident?
In the midst of her arrest, Quavo from Migos made a brief appearance, leaving everyone, including DaniLeigh, puzzled. She pointed out the rapper to the cops, saying, “Yeah that’s Quavo, the Migos. Those are my boys.“
While DaniLeigh may have laughed off the situation, the reality is far from amusing. The 17-year-old victim suffered severe injuries, including a lacerated kidney and spinal fractures.
One of the officers who reviewed the footage of the crash remarked that the moped rider was “lucky to be alive.” Despite DaniLeigh’s claims that she “passed all of your tests,” reports indicate the opposite.
She failed the field sobriety test and blew 0.145 and 0.148 on a breathalyzer test, way over the legal limit.
