‘Bridgerton‘ season 3 may have just wrapped up a big romance, but fans aren’t done thinking about what’s next. Now that several ‘Bridgerton‘ siblings have already found love, attention is slowly turning toward the younger members of the family who haven’t had their moment yet.
One of them is Hyacinth Bridgerton. She’s still growing up in the Netflix series, but readers of the books know her love story is very different from the others.
Hyacinth’s Love Story Comes Much Later In ‘Bridgerton’

So far, the show has focused on Daphne, Anthony, and Colin, while season 3 also offered a brief look at Francesca’s future. Hyacinth, however, remains in the background for now. The series is based on Julia Quinn’s ‘Bridgerton‘, and the romance is saved for much later in the story. In ‘It’s in His Kiss’, Hyacinth is already deep into the marriage mart.

By the time her story begins, she has spent four years as an eligible bachelorette. Several proposals have come her way, but none of them feel right, and she turns them all down. Hyacinth is just being careful. As a Bridgerton, she believes love matters more than convenience or pressure. Even when it becomes frustrating, she refuses to settle for a match that doesn’t feel genuine.
Lady Danbury Sets Hyacinth’s Romance In Motion

Hyacinth shares a close relationship with Lady Danbury in the books. They spend a lot of time together, and Lady Danbury takes a strong interest in Hyacinth’s future. Seeing her struggle to find the right person, she quietly decides to help. Lady Danbury arranges for Hyacinth to meet her grandson, Gareth St. Clair, by inviting him to a social event. The meeting is intentional, but Hyacinth is unimpressed at first.

Gareth has a reputation as a rake, and she has no interest in someone known for that kind of behavior. Still, Lady Danbury continues to encourage them to spend time together. As Hyacinth gets to know Gareth better, their conversations and growing chemistry begin to change her opinion.
Lady Danbury soon finds another reason to bring them together. She involves Hyacinth in helping Gareth translate his other grandmother’s Italian diary. The diary contains important details about Gareth’s family estate and future, especially after it comes out that the man he believed was his father is not his biological parent. These regular translation sessions keep Hyacinth and Gareth spending time together. As they work side by side, their bond grows naturally.
However, Hyacinth’s romance appears in the seventh of the eight ‘Bridgerton‘ books, which makes it one of the final stories likely to be adapted. So, we will have to wait!
