The stunning ending of ‘Weak Hero’ Class 2, which debuted on Netflix on April 25, 2025, has left viewers in shock. Everyone is wondering whether there will be a ‘Weak Hero Class 3‘ because of the fierce battles, heartfelt reunions, and cliffhanger mid-credit sequence.
For the uninitiated, ‘Weak Hero‘ is based on the hit 2018 webtoon ‘Weak Hero‘ by Seopass and Kim Jin-seok. The show is directed by Yoo Soo-min and stars Park Ji-hoon as Yeon Si-eun, a straight-A student who discovers that surviving high school means learning the true meaning of strength both physical and emotional.
What Happened In ‘Weak Hero’ Class 2?

The suspense in season 2 increased significantly. Yeon Si-eun finds himself in deeper conflicts and alliances as new characters enter the picture. One of the most famous plots is Ryeoun’s character Baku and Baek-jin, played by Bae Na-ra, facing off in a vicious last struggle to destroy the Union, a violent student gang.

In the final episode, Baek-jin manages to defeat Baku and even takes down Si-eun. But plot twist, Baku regains consciousness and returns with renewed strength, leading Eunjang High to victory. Order is restored, and viewers are finally treated to the long-awaited emotional moment, when Ahn Su-ho, played by Choi Hyun-wook, wakes up from his coma. The show ends with Si-eun reuniting with Su-ho at the hospital.
Director Yoo Soo-min On Season 3

While Netflix and the production team haven’t officially greenlit ‘Weak Hero’ Class 3, Director Yoo Soo-min has been dropping some subtle hints. At a press conference following the season 2 premiere, Yoo said, “While season 1 was about growing pains, for season 2, I thought about how one becomes an adult, and the keyword that came to mind was ‘reconciliation.'”
“There is reconciliation with others, but it also includes reconciliation with oneself. I think acknowledging and accepting these things is necessary to become an adult.”
In case you missed it:
Adding fuel to the fan theories, in an interview with ScreenRant, Choi Min-yeong, who plays Jun-tae, opened up about the evolution of his character, “If there were to be a Weak Hero Class 3, I would like to see how Jun-tae behaves after he’s broken out of his shell. There are a lot of things that he’s done for the first time in season 2, so now I want him to find his own way of protecting his friends and really leverage that all-new Jun-tae he’s become.” He was quick to add, “Whether there should be a season 3? I’m in no position to talk about that. It doesn’t mean that I don’t want it or anything like that. It just means that it’s up to the audience and the creators.”
Park Ji-hoon also shared his thoughts in the same interview. “I did give next season some thought,” he said. “Because of how everything kind of ended nicely in season 2, I thought about how Si-eun was always on the side of justice. He always had a strong moral compass, so what if he loses his friends in season 3 because of some things that happen, and he goes rogue? That would be a whole new twist to the story and a whole new narrative. Maybe it’s going to be a whole new vibe if he’s on the other side this time around, and if he’s having these conflicts with his friends. That’s just my wild imagination because, like Min-yeong said, it’s not something up to me. But I just gave it some thought.”
What Could ‘Weak Hero’ Class 3 Be About?

Su-ho’s recovery is easily one of the most anticipated developments that could shape the direction of ‘Weak Hero‘ Class 3. Will his bond with Si-eun deepen further as they stand side by side again, protecting their friends from any threats that may emerge? Or will Su-ho, scarred by past trauma, choose a more cautious and internal route, seeking healing before plunging back into danger?
Then there’s the ticking time bomb of Geum Seong-je. After being approached by Choi Chang-hee, Seong-je declined the offer, dismissing it as lacking “romance.” But anyone who’s been watching closely knows Seong-je is unpredictable to the core. His choices aren’t driven by duty or allegiance but by thrill, desire, and gut instinct. If the right temptation lands in front of him he could very well step into a role of leadership, perhaps even starting his own faction.
Meanwhile, Yeon Si-eun’s personal evolution remains at the very heart of the series. As he approaches graduation, his future feels uncertain, and the emotional baggage he carries from two brutal seasons may finally catch up to him. Season 3 could be a chance to show how he transforms, how those internal battles shape not just his decisions in a fight, but his entire approach to the world.
