Al Pacino Leads Emotional Tribute With Robert De Niro To Robert Duvall

Pacino appeared opposite Duvall in ‘The Godfather‘ and ‘The Godfather: Part II‘. Pacino played Michael Corleone, and Duvall played Tom Hagen, the trusted lawyer who stood beside him during the family’s biggest decisions. Because many major scenes relied on their interaction, Pacino’s response seemed more emotional.

He said working with Duvall was an honor and described him as “a born actor.” Pacino praised his understanding of performance and said his remarkable gift would always be remembered.
